The funny thing about all of this is that we used to hate each other. However, we grew a little older and a little more tolerant, and soon we discovered there was a friendship to be forged. Since the beginning of high school, we’ve shared so many experiences together that living life without the other person seems like an impossibility. We have been fortunate enough to experience so many of life’s ups, and to last through all of life’s downs. With both of us by each other’s side, we always push ourselves to look for the fun in everyday living.
Because of our excitement-seeking attitudes, we’ve now grown bored of the monotony of school, eat, sleep, school, eat, sleep. We both had free time to spare, so what could we do to spice up our boring schedule? Well, after giving up on ideas like building a new amusement park and starting our own boutique, we settled on starting a blog. But what would we blog about, we asked ourselves. It finally smacked us in the face in the form of the Academy Awards. After thoroughly discussing the Best Picture nominees, we realized we might have found our niche. And we were right. We decided to blog movie reviews, which slowly turned into movie and music reviews, which slowly turned into reviews on anything we feel like reviewing.
We knew from the beginning, though, that we wanted to try something that hadn’t been tried yet. So we started to look at traditional reviews. We found that when you read reviews to find out whether or not to pay to see that new movie, or whether or not you should download that new album, more often than not you find yourself reading a biased review written by some smug critic sitting in his high-and-mighty throne. Rather than someone who went to school to critique the crap out of things, we thought it would be fresh and new to write reviews for the everyday person by the everyday person. What we aim for is to provide you with a view on cinema, music, and culture that you and all of your friends can truly level with. So keep reading, fellow everyday person, because you know you can trust us to tell you what’s good and what isn’t in today’s world.
